Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal

“Another oatmeal recipe?” you say. Yup, sure nuf is. Oatmeal totally fills me up in the morning like nothing else. You can do a billion things to it. So we had, Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal and now Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal. It’s scrumptious I tell you, scrumptious.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal

Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal
Recipe Type: Breakfast

Serves: 1-2
A delicious and filling bowl of oatmeal that tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • pinch kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup Coach’s Oats
  • 1 packet of Splenda
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon jelly (your favorite flavor)
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and milk to a boil.
  2. Add the oats and salt.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Allow to sit for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the Splenda,peanut butter and jelly.
Notes

You can use this recipe with your favorite oatmeal brand. If you do not use Coach’s Oats, cook the oatmeal to the package directions, then add the flavorings.

  1. Clever idea! I totally love oatmeal too. I’m a creature of habit, so I ate old fashioned oats with freshly ground flax seed, raisins and a bit of butter and pure maple syrup for breakfast for at least 5 years. 🙂 It’s funny though….one day I woke up and decided “no oatmeal” and have now been going the protein route ever since. Mostly omelettes which you’ll see I have a variety on my blog. LOL! Have a GREAT Monday!

  11. Looks yummy! I love Coach’s Oats in all sorts of variations. I never put any sweetener in it, though. It doesn’t need it.

  12. This is FAB! I couldn’t have the pumpkin pie oatmeal due to allergies, but this one I can dig into! Like you – I love oatmeal in the mornings…I started enjoying it about 3 months ago and it’s delish!

  13. Love that you use Coaches oats! They are our favorite. My family likes peanut butter mixed in and topped with chocolate chips or topped with raspberries and chocolate chips. Can you tell I have teenagers? 🙂

      That bowl?? Oh my….I actually got it at Michaels Crafts for $1 last Christmas. If you look at it from above it is in the shape of a Christmas ornament! I got a few in red and white. They do look pretty in photos.

  21. Absolutely love peanut butter in my oatmeal….we buy our oatmeal from the farmer’s market and it’s so much better than what grocery stores sell.
