Who doesn’t love a Crock-Pot??

Crazy people, that’s who.

You know what a Crock-Pot is to me?

A life saver.

Seriously, we have some sort of activity 4-5 nights a week with baseball or gymnastics, so the fact that I can throw something in the Crock-Pot in the morning and have it ready when I get home is just heavenly.

Take this chicken, It’s cheap, serves my whole family, it’s delicious and I did it in the Crock-Pot.

Chicken, onions, garlic, butter herbs and chicken stock and YOUR DONE!

Sweet,huh?

Crock-Pot also has some great recipes on their site. Go check them out for dinner ideas!

Also, their Crock-Stars Contest is Closed for entries, but starting on November 12th, you can go here and vote for your favorite!

Before Crock-Pot sent me this shiny new Crock-Pot, I had a different slow cooker, it was expensive..like ridiculously expensive, it rhymes with Nall-Flad. Well you know what, the ceramic liner cracked..just like the on-line reviews said. grrrrrrr.

Well the Crock-Pot has sooooo many glorious features that my previous one didnt have.

A read-out for Travel Temperature.
A locking lid for Travel.
“Warm” stays on for a long time after the cooking time!

My life has been crazy.

I might have just lost my mind.

Lemme tell you a true story.

Picture this…..

6:30 am and no coffee.

I have a headache.

Hovering over my dog who has a cold, making sure he eats some food so I can shove his antibiotics down his throat.

Twittling his pill in my fingers, just waiting, for him to take a few bites.

Did I mention I had not had my coffee yet and had a headache.

Walked myself over the the cabinet.

Poured myself some water.

AND. TOOK. MY. DOGS. PILL.

I put my dogs pill in my mouth and swallowed.

Like all the way down into my stomach.

Seriously, did you get that?

Me, a human with no body fur to speak off, took my dogs pill.

I stood there in shock, wondering if I had the nerve to make myself puke.

I decided I didn’t want to stick a toothbrush down my throat at 6:30 in the morning and prayed the pill would make me sick.

I obviously survived my little momentary lapse of reasoning, it was just an antibiotic.

You know you have some serious issues when your takes a dogs medication.

For real, my kids have stollen my brain and obviously what little bit I have left does not function without caffeine.

Sooooo, needless to say life has been a bit crazy around here.

I have been relying on my little slow cooker for some dinner time sanity.

Kinda strange as much as I use my slow cooker I don’t have more recipes here..

I am sure all of you have an awesome slow cooker recipe, right?

Crock-Pot is having it first ever nationwide search for the Ultimate Crock-Pot Crock Star.

**Actual Title**
**Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches with Caramelized Onions**

The full title wouldn’t fit in the space I have allotted for my Titles.

Nothing genius here folks.

Chicken in a a slow cooker covered in BBQ sauce. The caramelized onions are what put this simple sandwich over the top.

I had every intention in making my own BBQ sauce for this dinner. But laziness got the best of me.

But then I got to thinking….does my reader, my loyal Hungry Housewife reader have time to make their own BBQ sauce? For the majority of you, probably not. So I am keeping it real for you, no fancy homemade BBQ sauce this time. BBQ sauce is actually really easy to make, but you usually have to make it ahead of time and that requires planning.

I urge you to make this SIMPLE SIMPLE dinner. As you can see there is NOTHING to it.
And it tastes just like your favorite BBQ restaurant.

Ohhhh how I love my slow cooker. It’s pretty and it shines. I could not live without it. I have a roast in it as we speak!
Let me tell you about these bad ass little pork chops. They are so delicious and packed with flavor. They literally fall apart. BONUS- takes less than 5 minutes to prep.
We all know kids are picky, right? Well my kids were begging for 2nd and thirds( I am NOT exaggerating). The night I made them, I emailed the recipe to my BFF Bobbi and she was shocked I used canned soup. I think canned soup totally has its place in the culinary world. A white trash culinary world it may be, but I am not predigest. I never said I WASNT white trash. Pftt, you should see my roots right now.

SLOW COOKER PORK CHOPS
Printer Friendly Version

4 thick cut pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup with herbs (or without herbs)
1 package Hidden Valley Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup chicken stock
Pepper

In a medium bowl, mix together cream of chicken soup, dry ranch mix, garlic, wine and chicken stock. Set aside.
Sprinkle pork chops with pepper (NO SALT..there is enough salt in the other ingredients)
Place the pork chops in the slow cooker.
Pour the soup mix over the pork chops.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 to 7 hours.
