When your kids ask you for Popsicles, do you cringe at the thought of the mess?
You watch them as they lick their popsicles ,as if they will last an eternity, then the sweet sugary blue liquid drips down their hand, then forearm and lastly a pretty blue drip forms off the tip of their elbow?
Dripppppp onto their white t-shirt!!!
I know we have all experienced it.
We have all ripped our kids shirts off the instant it happens and spray it down with a stain wash.
Welp, I have a cure, at least a band-aid.
Take a tin cupcake liner and place it on a cutting board. Cut a tiny slit in it with a sharp pointy knife.
Then put the stick of your uneaten popsicle into the slit.
Viola, a drip catcher!!
Pretty genius!
Here is a little tutorial for your average slow popsicle licker and another one for your REALLY SLOW popsicle licker!
AVERAGE POPSICLE LICKER TUTORIAL
You need a tin cupcake liner, a cutting board and a pairing knife.
Cut a small slit in the middle of the tin
See the little slit? That is where you put the popsicle stick.
TUTORIAL FOR YOUR SLOW POPSICLE LICKER
You will need 2 tin cupcake liners, 1 cotton cosmetic round, cutting board and pairing knife. The cosmetic round will absorbe anything that may leak past the 1st liner!
Cut slits in both cupcake liners.
Fold the cosmetic round in half and cut a small slit
The cosmetic round goes between the 2 tins. To make it easy to put on the popsicle stick…
put on 1 tin, the the cosmetic round and then the 2nd tin.
Might sound like a lot or work to eat a popsicle, but it takes more time to drive to the store and buy your kid a new t-shirt 🙂
