This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mrs. Smith’s for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
So this happened at Thanksgiving.
Yes, that is a cherry pie, in the drawer of my oven.
You see prior to being selected to try Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies, I told my Mom to bring cherry pie to dinner.
I didn’t have the heart to tell her not to make hers, so we had two cherry pies to eat.
We were kind of excited, because it was going to be a bit of a taste test.
A battle of the pies of sorts.
My Mom had another idea……….
I went outside to check on the kids just to make sure they weren’t throwing mashed potatoes at eachother and my sister come outside and sat next to me.
Without even making eye contact she says, “You’ll never believe what just happened inside.”
Me: “Oh God, What? Did someone get in a fight?”
My sister giggles.
I immediatly said, “What did Mom do?
She said, “The Pie”
“WHAT PIE? Not the CHERRY?”, I grumble.
She busted out laughing.
I go inside to survey the damage.
3 people are on their hands and knees scooping up the Mrs. Smith’s Cherry Pie off the floor and from the inside of my smoking oven, all while hysterically laughing, trying not to pee themselves.
But you know what pie survived????
My Mom’s cherry pie.
Tell me she didn’t have ulterior motives.
Here she is looking like she is ” In shock” about the tradgedy….
The pie cleaner-uppers managed to salvage a few scoops of the pie and plopped it next to the Mrs. Smith’s Deep Dish Apple Pie that remained intact but a little dented on the side.
She is still claiming, it was an “accident”.
She will take it to the grave.
But you know what?
The pies were amazing.
We ate what was left of the cherry pie right off the baking dish.
Dare I say Mrs. Smith’s Deep Dish Signature Pies taste JUST AS GOOD as homemade?
YES THEY DO.
I know, I was in shock too.
I mean, I was expecting pre-packaged tasting fake pie. (Pies have obviously come a long way)
Ohhhhh my, anything but.
The fruit tastes fresh and the pie crust is just perfect.
Don’t get me started on the Apple Pies crumb topping with the caramel sauce. I couldn’t get enough.
The sauces put the pies over the top.
Each of their signature pies comes with a sauce to make the pie a little more fancy.
The Signature Deep DIsh Dutch Apple comes with Caramel Sauce.
The Signature Deep Dish Cherry Pie comes with Butter Fudge Sauce
The Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie comes with Cream Cheese Icing
