Favorite Things Thursday

See this cute little dog?

Winston

We call him “Fluffy Butt”. He likes licking ears and eyeballs.

His actual name is Winston, quite a regal name for a Chihuahua.

He sheds like mad.

The amount of hair that comes off this little 10 pound creature is unreal.

I even use the Furminator (a previous Favorite Things Thursday) and he still molts like a snake.

If you know me personally, you will know I am a bit of a clean freak.

So as you could imagine, the dog hair drives me batty.

I have to vacuum EVERYDAY. Sounds annoying doesn’t it?

It is.

I hated lugging out my Dyson (I can’t stand my Dyson) everyday.

My Mom knew my frustration…cause Mommas know you best and for Christmas she got me this little bad boy.

The Electrolux Bagless Vacuum.

I am so domestic, it’s pretty sad.

Anyway, I love love love this little vacuum.  It’s light, you store it on it’s charging station(so it’s always charged) and it sucks up all of the dog hair and everything else like sand  and crumbs on the floor.

Yes, I still have to get out the Dyson beast to do the down and dirty deep carpet work.

But the Electolux is PERFECT for my everyday rediculus dog vacuuming duties.

Ohhh, I totally forgot to mention, there is NO CORD.

This is a HUGE plus for me because I have a large area of tile and wood floors, so I don’t have to keep unplugging and moving to closer outlets. LOVE

**Remember, Favorite Things Thursdays are NOT sponsored posts, just things I love!**

  1. I NEED this. I have wood and tile floors all through my house and broom is a pain in the a$$ and when I sweep the dirt into a dust pan some it doesn’t make it and then i have to sweep AGAIN. I have a bag less upright vacuum for our living room area rug, but it is bulky (and not cordless) and it doesn’t get things off the wood floors well at all.

I added this to my Amazon wishlist!! Thanks!

  2. I have a 95lb lab that should be bald when we stop and look at how much hair he sheds in a day. I bought my Electolux a few months ago….I have been thrilled with it daily…light, easy to use and NO CORD…yippy

  3. would come in handy, although personally i LOVE my dyson 🙂

  4. I have never had a Dyson, but this looks up my alley. My dog sheds too. I love your little dog. He is so cute. We had a long hair chihuahua years ago named Queso. He was black and white.

  5. nice to meet you fluffy butt!!

  6. What a cute dog.

  7. omg, love the color orange and how cute it is!! my twin is obsessed with all things orange 😉

  8. My electric broom is on its last leg. I’ve seen this one and have been thinking about getting it as a replacement. Can you tell me how long the charge lasts?

    Thanks a bunch!

    • Thanks for your question Patricia.

I have never had the battery run out on me. I use it daily on my hard surface floors. I would say I run it for about 15 minutes every day.
Because the vacuum rests in the charging station, you never have to worry about if the battery is going to be dead on you..its ALWAYS charged! I love it!
