Need A Laugh?

Glamor

You laughed, didn’t you?
Me too, don’t worry.

ME. Circa 1992. 16 years old. Glamor Shots.

It’s all shades of wrong, isn’t it?

I mean, come on, let’s point out the painful obvious…

the hair…no comment
the press on nails..really??
those earrings…totally ghetto
the sequin jacket…borrowed from Elton John or Neil Diamond..can’t remember
the sequin bustier…got that from Madonna
the eyebrows…I suppose I was channeling Brook Shields
the THREE gold rings…it was the 90′s
the lips…RED baby..on a 16 year old?

Unfortunately the big forehead (or as I call it my 5 head) is still with me.

So there you have it..one of my most embarrassing photos ever. Totally over done.
Glamor Shots is out of business, right? Please tell me they are.

I was HOT {cough cough}

Beef and Pepper Flatbread ($10 meal)

Flatbread 3

Are you loving the $10 meals?

I had such a great time creating them for Sweetbay Supermarket. All the recipes needed to be tasty, easy, family friendly AND $10 or under. And this Beef and Flatbread Pizza is no exception.
Don’t get sucked into the freezer department to pick up a frozen pizza. Those are so boring.
I love using Naan Flatbread as my pizza crust base. There is no messing around with pizza dough, it tastes delicious and it gets nice and crunch on the bottom. It’s a win win situation.
If you ask me, pasta is the perfect side for pizza. My tomato garlic pasta is not only easy but it is packed with flavor.
Are you sensing a theme here?
Easy and delicious!

Sweetbay Supermarkets Butchers have a tip to cut out some of the fat from ground beef….
“Cook without seasoning. Rinse briefly with hot water in a colander and blot dry. Return to the pan for a minute and add the seasonings to taste.”

You can find Sweetbay Supermarket on Facebook.

Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

slow cooker pulled bbq chicken

**Actual Title**
**Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches with Caramelized Onions**

The full title wouldn’t fit in the space I have allotted for my Titles.

Nothing genius here folks.

Chicken in a a slow cooker covered in BBQ sauce. The caramelized onions are what put this simple sandwich over the top.

I had every intention in making my own BBQ sauce for this dinner. But laziness got the best of me.

But then I got to thinking….does my reader, my loyal Hungry Housewife reader have time to make their own BBQ sauce? For the majority of you, probably not. So I am keeping it real for you, no fancy homemade BBQ sauce this time. BBQ sauce is actually really easy to make, but you usually have to make it ahead of time and that requires planning.

I urge you to make this SIMPLE SIMPLE dinner. As you can see there is NOTHING to it.
And it tastes just like your favorite BBQ restaurant.
